Welcome ISG-Dammam Middle School Families!
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you and your children to the 2011-2012 school year at ISG-Dammam Middle School. A special and warm welcome to families who are new to our school!
This school year promises to be an exciting year despite the uncertainties we faced in June, 2011. The loss of almost one third of our campus to the highway construction made many families very unhappy. But as a community, we have chosen to move forward together and continue to bring our best efforts for this school and all its students. W are fortunate to have new buildings with 20 classrooms for High School and Middle Schools. We also have a new principal, Mr. John Rutten, from Minnesota, USA, bringing with him many years of teaching and administrative experiences which I am sure will further enrich our school’s culture and performance.
We welcome two new teachers who have joined Middle School this year: Mrs. Norma Lacorum for Grade 7 Science and Ms. Monika Cieslak for Grade 7 Language Arts. You will meet these ladies, as well as the other members of the MS team, on Wednesday, Sept. 21 during Back to School event from 2:00 PM to 4:00 P.M. We hope you will be there!
We understand the importance of communication in building a successful home/school partnership. ISG-Dammam has provided your child with a Student Handbook which you can use to learn more about the school and its policies, as well as an easy way to send a message to your child’s teachers. You may also call us to set an appointment or to talk to a teacher. Please look at the quarterly newsletter to be posted in the website for calendar updates . We will also send information updates separately as needed.
We are looking forward to working with you and your child this school year and thank you for your continuing support to ISG-Dammam.
Sincerely,
Sylvia Marcos
Vice principal

Professional Development at ISG-D
ISG-Dammam teachers never stop learning and growing both professionally and personally. As part of their Professional Development Day, teachers attended stress –relieving sessions which they can also teach to students. Other PD sessions included classroom management, assessment, and conferencing.
